Meinl Sonic Energy 10″ Medium Octave Steel Tongue Drum (F# Minor, 8 Notes, 432 Hz, Dark Green)

This drum’s F# minor scale is low, soft, and reflective, and each note seems to hang in the air a little longer than you expect.

Its eight notes start low on F# and climb through the scale, so you have deep, grounding tones and lighter ones above them. It’s tuned to 432 Hz, a tuning many meditation and sound practice players prefer for its softer feel. Play a few notes slowly and let them ring. That’s most of what this drum asks of you.

At 10 inches and about 4 pounds, it rests comfortably on your lap or a table. Silicone feet on the bottom keep it from sliding, and the included bag makes it easy to carry from room to room or take with you.

You can play it with your fingers for a softer, more intimate sound. The included Meinl wooden mallets give a clearer, more even tone.
