Wheatgrass Juice

Recipe Details:

Wheatgrass is considered a superfood because of its amazing ability to help remove toxins from the body and aid in digestion. Most people suggest drinking wheatgrass juice in the morning, on an empty stomach.

This recipe shows how to make fresh wheatgrass juice at home. I didn't own a juicer for a while so I came up with a way to extract the wheatgrass using a magic bullet instead. A regular blender can do the trick as well. The juice becomes more watered down when you use this method, but I find it's easier to drink when it is slightly diluted. You can also freeze the juice as ice cubes to preserve and use later. I like adding the wheatgrass ice cubes into a celery/apple juice blend in the summer!

***Note: Wheatgrass is very easy to grow at home and is usually ready to harvest within 7-10 days.
